I follow the GQ tumblr and they seem like good guys. That goes from Jim Moore on down. My issue with GQ is no different than my issue with most magazines that I still subscribe to. GQ Brazil has put together “The fashion shoot for GQ’s sartorial Brazil generated a movie of motorcycling” What that will entail? I have no clue. The issue being that South American and European bureaus of both GQ and Esquire; seem to raise the bar in how they engage with their online followers. This isn’t to say that GQ or esquire doesn’t dish out quality content. With the resources that Conde Nast has at their disposal; we could see a lot more video content that compliments the magazine.
The other Bureaus content quality does dip a little when it comes to shooting in HD. It seems they put the bulk of their video budget behind shots like this. I would like to see this concept toned down a notch to the level of The Black Ivy
My tips to online editors of major menswear magazines such as: Monocle, The Rake, GQ, Esquire,Men Of Habit.
Well produced short content goes viral.
Great work to the team of GQ Brazil directed by Jacques Dequeker and Marcos Mello
