Reblogging this in its entirety. Shout out to our fam Presenting Corey for a great post.I don’t post too much womens fashion frankly because I dont know that much about it. However I never considered McQueen just a women’s clothing designer. “There is no need for introduction when it comes to the late great Lee Alexander McQueen. And it goes without saying the influence he’s had on the fashion industry. Starting his career as a child making dresses for his 3 sisters he went on to serve as an apprentice to Savile Row tailors Anderson & Sheppard. He’s most known for his work as Chief Designer at Givenchy and then finally for his own label Alexander McQueen. His unique style and always rebellious edge earned him four British designer of the year awards (1996, 1997, 2001, and 2003) as well as the CFDA’s International Designer of the year award in 2003. But to say that Alexander McQueen was just a fashion designer would be the understatement of the century! He was hands down an ARTIST, and we’re not alone in our thoughts.
