Joy- Jay-Z, Kanye West, Curtis Mayfield prod by Pete Rock
The hardest song on the album.
Graduated from the MoMA.
Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.
Well that just aobut sums up my feelings, I almost don’t want to give a review but I feel I ought to. My main thought is: It’s not My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
So the hype killed it. It couldn’t have been better after Kanye pulled out all the stops…
I saw this one coming with the hype. In my opinion, this was something that benefited Jay more than Kanye. It was definitely a step back. I like how they included Frank. I wanted to see more depth in their production. I really don’t come to expect much from Jay lyrically anymore. He has nothing to talk about since he is not conscience. His metaphors are lack luster at best.
What I like about this new generation of menswear lifestyle bloggers, is that they don’t **** ride just for the sake that it’s Jay-Z. If it’s not good it’s not good. Otis and Niggas in Paris are ok, but not the quality you come to expect from these two.
I am pretty sure this wont be a classic. If this sucks, I will Frisbee the …. out. this cd. Too much hype, not enough substance with Jay’s recent projects.
