i want these. street etiquette’s incredible.
[Backstory] They weren’t using this shoe model anymore, I came across the shoe and requested it in the select materials. I was unaware how it would come out exactly, but I’m glad it came out as such(lol). This was amongst a little over 24 shoes and wind it down to only two pairs to be selected, kind of insane! The moccasins above and red boots were obviously the last two
Our first product collaboration with Sebago - was a great experience.

Lol at the quote caption smh amongst other things!
Love this article on the “new dandies” of preppy style:
“The posts on Street Etiquette straddle the modern and the historical. Mr. Gumbs and Mr. Kissi, both 22, highlight specific themes — floral prints, the saddle shoe and so on — modeling them and detailing their history. They are careful caretakers, respectful students, tailoring loyalists and handsome models…
“The two men are the most prominent public faces of a new burst of black dandyism taking root in small retail outlets, niche fashion lines and thoughtful style blogs.”
You must check out the Street Etiquette blog.
“black dandyism”. Wtf are they talking about? I hate labels.
Street Etiquette is featured in The New York Times. One of the most interesting parts of the profile is how Gumbs and Kissi turned to the Internet to share their interest of style rather than their real-world peers. And then came this sentence:
The Internet has also created a virtual community for this new generation. No longer do style outsiders have to rebel in isolation.
Honestly, without the Internet, I probably wouldn’t be interested in this at all and that’s what’s been great about the community around the topic. And this has been true for pretty much every nerdy, outsider, lonely interest I had in my life. I might not have known people in real life who shared my obscure obsessions, but the Internet reveals to you that no one is alone in their pursuits. You’re inspired more and learn so much that you can live your life as you really want to each day.

I follow the GQ tumblr and they seem like good guys. That goes from Jim Moore on down. My issue with GQ is no different than my issue with most magazines that I still subscribe to. GQ Brazil has put together “The fashion shoot for GQ’s sartorial Brazil generated a movie of motorcycling” What that will entail? I have no clue. The issue being that South American and European bureaus of both GQ and Esquire; seem to raise the bar in how they engage with their online followers. This isn’t to say that GQ or esquire doesn’t dish out quality content. With the resources that Conde Nast has at their disposal; we could see a lot more video content that compliments the magazine.
The other Bureaus content quality does dip a little when it comes to shooting in HD. It seems they put the bulk of their video budget behind shots like this. I would like to see this concept toned down a notch to the level of The Black Ivy
My tips to online editors of major menswear magazines such as: Monocle, The Rake, GQ, Esquire,Men Of Habit.
Well produced short content goes viral.
Great work to the team of GQ Brazil directed by Jacques Dequeker and Marcos Mello

[Visuals] - More from Mr.Sauvage I guess I didn’t get to really express myself concerning his “This Is Not A Suit” film visually and aesthetically stands out from what is usually thrown at me and still retains a sense of tradition in its own right. I think people are becoming visually stimulated to only appreciating the run of the mill, or simply what is expected. I’m pretty sure it wont obtain 35,000 notes ,or even 500 notes but someone out there will appreciate it.
I’m just saying let’s nudge the bar sometimes :o

I feel like this sometimes as well. All I can say is keep working at it; eventually it will break through. Like JK I also posted this video when it first came out. I had 80% less followers however, I am still certain this will receive around the same amount of notes.

Marcus continues to kill the Brand collaborations. I have been a fan of marcus’s previous work with sebago, however this is really taking it to the next level. Just in time for Spring and Summer. He puts together a tough team of blogger’s to execute with perfection. Sand Dollar and Faded Rose are my pics.
